As Chinese enterprises expand globally today, they follow paths first forged by their ancestors who ventured to Nanyang centuries ago. This presentation bridges historical wisdom and contemporary challenges by examining how Malaysia's Chinese dialect group businesses have transformed from immigrant enterprises into innovation powerhouses. Dr. Lee explores how Hakka, Cantonese, Henghua and other dialect communities preserved cultural identity while building resilient enterprises that survived policy shifts and generational transitions. Their journey—from adaptation to innovation—offers valuable perspectives for understanding sustainable business development across cultural boundaries. This research illuminates how these century-old enterprises have created distinctly "Nanyang" brands by strategically balancing heritage with innovation, providing timely insights as modern businesses navigate similar cross-cultural challenges.
报告人简介：
李健友是一位马来西亚华人学者，原籍吉隆坡曾江新村。他拥有马来亚大学亚欧研究所的经济学与管理学博士学位。此前，他曾任马来西亚华人研究中心学术主任，开展马来西亚华人社区研究，并在多家学术期刊发表研究成果。李尚尚曾任马来亚大学中国研究系高级讲师，以及马来亚大学马来西亚华人研究中心（MCRC）成员，专注于海外华人商业与文化研究。近期，他在罗德里奇·泰勒与弗朗西斯出版社出版了新专著《马来西亚华人家族企业：隐性知识创新的培育》。
