1996年毕业于武汉大学物理系，
2001年博士毕业于中科院理论物理研究所，
2001年至2007年在意大利和加拿大从事科研工作，
廖玮教授在粒子物理与宇宙学方向具有较深的学术造诣及创新性学术思想。
报告摘要：
I will introduce an interesting warm dark matter candidate of the universe, keV scale steile neutrino. I will discusss the production of this dark matter candidate, the constraintsfrom astronomical observations and from neutrino experiments. Aninteresting type of models of this dark matter candidate, low energy seesaw models, will be introduced and implications of neutrino oscillation experiment on these models will be discussed. Finally I will discuss the loboratory test of this dark matter candidate and suggest an detection scheme using radioactive nuclei which is the only known possible scheme to do laboratory search of keV scale sterile neutrino dark matter in the universe.
