报告人简介:
        黄恒,美国德州农工大学博士后,2013年和2016年分别获得兰州大学生态学学士和硕士学位,2020年获美国加州大学伯克利分校环境科学、政策与管理博士学位。主要从事全球变化背景下生态系统稳定性与碳循环研究。曾获得国家自费留学生奖学金、加州大学伯克利分校校级科研基金、美国生态学会差旅奖等。相关研究结果发表在PNAS、 One Earth、Ecology、New Phytologist、The American Naturalist、Communications Biology等国际主流期刊。

报告内容简介:
        The ongoing global change exerts significant impacts on vegetation dynamics, ecosystem stability, and carbon cycling. In this talk, I will discuss (1) critical transitions from grassland to woodland driven by climate warming and microclimate feedbacks in Northern American woodland-grassland ecotones; and (2) the fundamental role of vegetation productivity and rainfall dynamics in controlling the variability of soil heterotrophic respiration across ecosystems. The results provide theoretical and empirical evidence of the emergence of ecosystem regime shifts and stochastic behavior of ecosystem carbon fluxes, which will improve our projection of ecosystem stability and carbon balance under future global change.
