报告内容简介:
Strong-field, ultrafast, and attosecond physics are perspective research avenues that result from remarkable developments in laser technologies. In accord with the common definition, a "strong" electric field corresponds to the field strength comparable to thatexperienced by an electron in a hydrogen atom. The "ultrafast" time scales typically refer to a laser pulse length of the order of femtoseconds. Attosecond science investigates dynamics of quantum systems on the timescale less than one femtosecond. The time scales mentioned here imply a great diversity of applications in science andtechnology. We briefly overview these applications and discuss some highly nonlinear phenomena originating from interaction of strong laser radiation with atoms and molecules. Semiclassical models that apply classical description of an ionized electron are now extensively used in strong-field physics. We discuss trajectory-based simulations of many strong-field phenomena, including above-threshold ionization, capture into Rydberg states, nonsequential double ionization, etc. We analyze application of semiclassical models to strong-field holography with photoelectrons, which is a new and promising technique for time-resolved molecular imaging.
