内容简介:Dr. Curto will present her work on Agentic AI Models which contributes to both AI innovation and inclusive growth policymaking. Covering a diversity of AI methods and real-world case studies, she will highlight new paths for the AI research community, moving beyond general-purpose models to specifically-designed AI systems for human-centric problems. She will tackle both risks and opportunities of Agentic AI, including international perspectives of AI ethical frameworks. Dr. Curto will finalize her presentation explaining the ways forward towards a specialized co-policymaker, advancing AI state of the art towards trustworthy hybrid models for policymakers globally.
专家简介:Dr. Georgina Curto is a Senior Researcher and Team Lead at the United Nations University (UNU) Institute in Macau. Her work bridges the gap between AI and economics, specifically building Agentic AI systems that inform policymaking for sustainable development. She is the Principal Investigator of international research projects in Western Asia, Europe and the US. Her research has been awarded by the International Joint Conference of AI (IJCAI) and the Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL). She is a recognized scholar published in top-tier venues including Nature, NAACL, ECAI, IJCAI, ACL, AAMAS, Science and Engineering Ethics or AI & Society.
Dr. Curto co-leads the UNU Hubs on AI-Finance, at East China Normal University (Shanghai), on Humanitarian Innovation and Technology, at Lingnan University (Hong Kong) and on Social Systems and AI for Policymaking at Northwestern Polytechnical University (Xi’An). Additionally, she fosters cross-regional AI research capacity building initiatives, serving as a Co-Chair for the International Joint Conference of AI (IJCAI) Symposia since 2023, and the UNU - Deep Learning Indaba Spring School in Africa.
Previously, she was an Assistant Research Professor at the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society (University of Notre Dame, US), a Guest Scholar at the Kavli Center for Ethics, Science and the Public (UC Berkeley, US) and a Postdoc at the ND-IBM Technology Ethics Lab (University of Notre Dame). She received her PhD on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Inclusion: An Analysis of Bias Against the Poor” in a joint program by universities Ramon Llull, Deusto and Comillas, an International Executive MBA by Instituto de Empresa (Madrid) and a Masters Degree in Economics Research from University Ramon Llull.
