报告摘要:

In a dissipative time crystal, observables (such as population, magnetization) oscillate persistently, despite its dynamics being described by the Lindblad master equation. Such oscillatory phase relates to synchronization and ergodicity breaking, and thus attracts experimental and theoretical attentions recently. It is believed that the time crystal forms in the thermodynamic limit as predicted by the mean-field theory. If time allows, I will also discuss our ongoing work on the oscillatory dynamics in finite systems. Typically, dynamics equilibrates to a steady state in the long time limit, which is the eigenstate of the master equation with zero eigenvalues. We develop a framework to engineer persistent oscillatory modes in finite, Markovian open quantum systems governed by a time-independent Lindblad master equation.

李伟斌,诺丁汉大学物理与天文学院教授,博士生导师。本科和博士分别就读于华中科技大学和中科院武汉物理与数学研究所。主要从事里德堡原子物理、量子光学和量子模拟等的研究,在ScienceNatureNature CommunicationsScience AdvancesPhys. Rev. XPhys. Rev. Lett.等国际刊物上发表100多篇论文。主持和承担欧盟、英国等多项科研项目。2010年获得欧盟玛丽-居里学者,2013年获得诺丁汉高等研究学者资助。担任SciencePhys. Rev. Lett.Phys. Rev. X等学术杂志审稿人,兼任Scientific Reportseditorial board member Frontiers in Physicsassociate editor
